Round 9 - Weekly Wrap

Sorry about the delay in getting the previous weekly wrap up... it would seem a busy time of year for everyone.

Under 10s

The U10'S boys and girls worked well together as a team.

Some hard fought ball was won against a tough opponent, Maroochydore.  It was a fairly even match, great to see some skillful marks and hand balls.  It was a tough physical match and coach Darren is impressed with the intensity and commitment to get the ball.  Improving every week, well done team!

Under 12s

After a few weeks off our u12s dusted the cobwebs off against the Northshore Jets in a game both sides were desperate to record their first wins of the div one season in.

The boys put in a great four quarter effort with an emphasis on playing direct footy on the back of fierce team defensive pressure, 2nd efforts and being first to the footy.

When the game was in the balance our group of older boys lead from the front and kept the momentum with the blues. The younger boys were great and played a crucial role rotating through the bench to ensure we had fresh legs and plenty of run when we needed it throughout the game.

After a few close loses the boys showed they had learnt from previous weeks and weren’t going to let this one get away, they took their chances in front of goal and ran away with a well deserved 5 goal win!

Thanks to all the parents that helped out on the day - it was great to sing the song and see the boys smiles!!

Under 14s

First game back after the break, U14 played Coolum.

They went down in a well contested game that was even all the way.
The boys attacked the ball hard and contested well.
Team play is improving with the boys talking, sheparding and looking for each other.
With increased training sessions together, team tactics and strategies will continue to develop. Look out Noosa this week!!

Go Blues!
